Warning To Saudi Shopkeepers; Action If The Admission Facility For Differently Abled Persons Is Not Established Within 60 Days



 Riyadh: The Saudi Ministry Of Urban And Rural Affairs Has Warned That All Shops And Other Commercial Centers In Saudi Arabia Should Provide Special Facilities For People With Disabilities To Enter The Institution.

Failure To Do So Within The Next 60 Days Will Result In Disciplinary Action, Officials Said.

Officials Said The Commercial Activity Permit Provides For The Establishment Of Access Facilities For People With Disabilities But Many Do Not Comply.

Inspections By The Ministry Of Urban And Rural Affairs In Collaboration With The Ministry Of Human Resources Revealed That Many Shopkeepers Were Not Complying.

The Ministry Of Urban And Rural Affairs Said That Non-compliant Establishments Will Be Subject To Fines And Penalties As Per Municipal Law.
