The Saudi Ministry of Labor and Social Development will soon announce the Saudiisation of restaurants, coffee shops, supermarkets and hypermarkets. However, there are indications that only the top jobs in the sector will be included in the Saudi privatization plan.
According to sources, the posts of cashier, supervisor and manager will be Saudiized. Saudiization does not apply to the following occupations, such as cleaning jobs. It is also reported that Saudiization will not apply to establishments with an area of less than 30 square meters.
