The Saudi Ministry of Labor and Social Development has announced that the job test will be effective from July. The new decision is part of measures to ensure the efficiency of professional workers in the country's labor market. The ministry said the program was being conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs and the Public Organization for Technical and Job Training with the aim of testing the basic skills required to perform the job. According to the Saudi Occupational Classification, the program targets more than a thousand specialized professionals from 23 professional fields.
The ministry said the program would run on two tracks. The first is to check the professional workers in their countries before arriving in the country in collaboration with international examination centers. The second is to collaborate with existing professional workers in the country. This will be done through accredited local examination centers.
The Ministry has asked all the institutions to check the professional work skills of the existing workers in the country as from July 2021 there will be gradual examination liability as per the size of the institution. The ministry has asked the workers to visit the program's website from tomorrow to check their efficiency as part of completing the efforts during the optional period.
