The Ministry of Human Resources said that the new labor law, which has been in place since, will bar a worker from leaving Saudi Arabia on an Exist Visa before the end of the contract period and then entering Saudi Arabia on another work visa.
The ministry also said in response to a question that the Exist visa would be valid for 15 days from the date of issue.
Under the new law, the benefit of staying in Saudi Arabia for another 60 days from the issuance of the exit visa has been reduced to 15 days.
If the worker applies for an exit visa, the employer will be notified 10 days prior to the completion of the procedure.
Staying in Saudi Arabia without leaving the country during the exit visa period is subject to labor and iqama law violations.
The application of the worker and dependents for issuance of exit visa can be canceled within the period.
At the same time, the ministry said that although it is now possible for a worker to issue an exit, the old method of issuing an exit through Kafeel will remain in place.
