Riyadh - Police raided public places and shopping malls in the Saudi capital yesterday and fined several people for violating precautionary and preventive measures against the spread of corona.
Those who did not wear a mask and did not maintain social distance were fined. Police have fined foreign salesmen and locals.
The Interior Ministry has released a video showing police conducting lightning inspections in public places and shopping malls and fining locals and foreigners for violating the law.
The ministry also said that those caught repeatedly violating the law would be fined up to 1,000 riyals for violating the law, including not wearing masks, not keeping social distance, refusing to check body temperature when entering private and government institutions, and failing to comply with procedures if the body temperature rises above 38 degrees.
