With the cancellation of flights from Saudi Arabia, the re-entry of foreigners who could not return could be extended. Re-entries of workers and their dependents will be renewed through Abshir. There are currently two conditions for renewing a re-entry:
1. Re-entry can now be extended to those who have completed Iqama. Iqamah must also have a validity period until the re-entry is extended.
2. The period of re-entry should not exceed 60 days.
3. Payment must be made to extend re-entry. The fee for a single re-entry is 100 riyals. The multiple entry fee is 200 riyals. These can be buried through Sadad. After this, the re-entry has to be renewed through Abshir. The method for this is as follows:
1. Login to Abshir after paying the re-entry renewal fee.
2. Select Sponsorship Services in Abshir.
3. In the Sponsored Services option, click on the Visa Extension Service option. This will extend the re-entry.
Earlier, the Javasat or Passport Department had announced that the iqama period of foreigners would be renewed. More information on this may be available in the coming days. It is hoped that they too will have the opportunity to renew their re-entry after this.
Meanwhile, the Iqama period of those in Saudi Arabia is being extended for three months free of charge. Last time, most people got their iqama period extended for free for three months. Those who did not get the extension then can now get the extension of Iqama for free. Iqama in this category has also been extended to those who have expired. But it is not clear whether those who have been given three months extension earlier will get the benefit again. Javasat has not released any new information regarding the extension of the Iqama period.
