The Saudi Interior Ministry has said that the curfew will not be imposed if the people of the country strictly follow the Kovid protocol. The Ministry of Health said that more corona vaccines have arrived in the country and distribution has started. Kovid has taken action against half a million people in a week for violating protocol.

The vaccination program, which had been slow due to delays in delivery from the Corona vaccine manufacturer, has resumed. About 2,500 doses of the vaccine have been distributed in the past day alone. With this, 4,46,940 doses of the vaccine have been distributed so far, according to the Ministry of Health. Those waiting for a second dose should make an appointment soon, officials said.

During the week, 47,334 cases of Kovid protocol violations were registered. Riyadh has seen a 50 percent drop in new law violations in the past 48 hours. The home ministry has said it will not impose a curfew if the community is prepared to move forward in strict compliance with the Kovid protocol. Several people have been arrested in connection with Kovid for spreading false news through social media and offline.

The ministry also reminded people to avoid visiting Javasat offices directly and use online services like Absher. Five more mosques in three areas were closed today by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs following a report by Kovid. This brings to 62 the number of churches closed in the last seven days. Of these, 52 churches have been opened to the public since the disinfection.
