The Mecca governor said King Abdul Aziz International Airport in Jeddah will start functioning last this year.The first plane was launched from the Jeddah Airport by domestic flights. At present, 5218 flights are being operated on the new Jeddah Airport to 20 destinations.
According to the announcement from Mecca governor , 5,42,700 passengers have already traveled from the new airport. It is expected that the number of passengers will increase to 1,47,200 The number of daily flights is 1158. The new airport was inaugurated in May 2018.
