THE RIYADH ECONOMIC FORUM WANTS TO REVIEW THE LEVY IMPOSED ON FOREIGN WORKERS AND DEPENDENTS


The Riyadh Economic Forum has called for a review of the levy imposed on foreign workers and dependents in Saudi. The demand was raised during the second day of the three-day economic forum. In assessing the progress of the medium and small enterprises in the country, it is important to examine the impact of the levy on foreign workers and their dependents.
Visa fees have also adversely impacted the job market. The forum also suggested that the fees imposed by local bodies (Baladia) should also be reviewed. The title of the Riyadh Economic Forum, which will be held from January 21 to 23, is “The basis of economic progress must be human”.
