Saudi Arabia to make e-payment mandatory in Bakalas.

The anti-Benami business committee has demanded that all bakhalas in Saudi Arabia be turned over to e-payment as part of Covid's defense efforts.

The law will come into effect from May 10. The action is in cooperation with the ministries of commerce, the Saudi Monetary Agency and the municipal and village offices.

The action is also in the wake of the spread of Covid. The Binami Business Anti-Disciplinary Committee had earlier announced that the online payment would be implemented in a phased manner.

The Saudi press agency reported that e-payment is mandatory for bakkalas and supply shops in order to reduce the spread of money.
