DUBAI - The decision to resume business operations in Dubai on Wednesday. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, has announced the gradual reopening of the business in Dubai from Wednesday. With this in effect, there will be no restrictions on people's travel between 6am and 11pm.
The announcement was made at the Dubai Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management, chaired by Sheikh Hamdan. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Deputy Governor of Dubai and Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Chairman of the Committee and members of the Committee also attended the meeting. Sheikh Hamdan said the decision to resume business activities was made after a thorough review of the committee's reports, various health and socio-economic aspects and a comprehensive review of the Covid-19 situation. International guidelines for compliance with Covid-19 have also been taken into account in decision making.
The new measures are in line with the Covid-19 scenario without disrupting operations in key areas. Precautionary measures will be strictly monitored, including wearing masks, maintaining a minimum of two meters of physical distance, using disinfectants, and washing hands regularly with soap and water for 20 seconds. Sheikh Hamdan stressed the need to raise awareness in the community about precautionary measures. The community must understand the importance of strict adherence to preventive measures. Sheikh Hamdan said that following the guidelines is key to restoring normal life.
