Hajj Minister Mohammad Salih says that only 10,000 people will participate in Hajj this year.

Saudi Hajj Minister Mohammad Salih Bandaran says that only 10,000 people will participate in Hajj this year.

Saudi Hajj Minister Mohammed Salih Bandhan said that the number of pilgrims attending the Hajj is only 10,000. The minister of Hajj's Covid Protocol explained this at a news conference in Riyadh. Selection will be completed in relation to embassies of each country. There will be opportunities for all nationalities. Residents and expatriates within the Saudi are the only opportunities. Only those who are negative on the Covid test are allowed. Every day, the health status of the attendees will be monitored. Upon completion of the Hajj, 10,000 people should remain in the Home Quarantine. This time the Hajj will be made up of contactless settings.
The decision was made by the Ministry of Hajj Umrah in Saudi Arabia. Pilgrims from overseas will not be allowed to perform the Hajj this year due to the prevailing international flight ban and the covid conditions. However, both local and foreign nationals can participate in the Hajj. Only a limited number of people are allowed to perform the Hajj.
Hajj is performed in Makkah, Mina, Muzdalifa and Arafa. Each of these places has a capacity to accommodate more than 30 lakh people. This makes it easier to arrange for a certain number of attendees, with immunizations. There will also be arrangements for health workers. According to the ministry, there will be rituals without the loss of the soul of the Haj.
