Saudiization of pharmacy sector starts from tomorrow

Jeddah: Steps will be taken tomorrow (Wednesday) to achieve the first phase of localization in the pharmacy sector in Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Welfare aims to Saudiize 20 percent of jobs in the pharmaceutical sector in the initial phase.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Welfare said yesterday that it had succeeded in providing employment to Saudis in five key occupations.

More than 45,000 Saudis have been employed in the fields of maintenance and operation, engineering, dentistry, pharmacy, accounting and legal auditing, officials said.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Welfare has various plans in place to increase the rate of Saudiisation in various sectors in the future.
