IN SAUDI ARABIA, THE PROCESS OF CHANGING SPONSORSHIP FOR DEPENDENTS HAS BEGUN

 The Javasat section explained the steps to be taken to transfer the work visa holders in Saudi Arabia to work visas. The change can be made by submitting an application on the portal of the Ministry of Labor, Human Resources and Social Development to the institution taking over the sponsorship.

The Javasat division has released the procedures for changing the sponsorship of holders of dependent visas of foreign workers. For this, the first sponsorship institution has to apply voluntarily through the portal of the Ministry of Labor, Human Resources and Social Development. The application for parental approval will then be submitted to the current sponsor's Abshir system. The application will be submitted to the Ministry of Home Affairs with the consent of the sponsor. Javasat said the change would be possible with the approval of the ministry.

The application will be automatically invalidated if the institution has not completed the next steps within 14 days and obtained the iqama. Dependent must be at least 18 years of age to be able to change sponsorship. The application will be considered subject to conditions such as the duration of Iqama of the dependent and the current sponsor, the foreigner.
