In Saudi Arabia, some vehicle accidents causes to four years in prison and fined two lakh riyals

 

Jeddah: The Saudi Public Prosecution has warned that the causes of some car accidents in Saudi Arabia have been linked to major crimes.

Driving under the influence of narcotics or other intoxicants, driving in the opposite direction, crossing a red signal, exercising with a vehicle, causing the death or loss of limbs, or accidentally injuring more than 15 days is considered a serious offense.

Anyone who dies or causes bodily harm by committing a serious traffic offense is liable to a fine of 2 lakh riyals and imprisonment for up to 4 years.

At the same time, if the injured patient takes more than 15 days to recover, he faces up to two years in prison and a fine of up to one lakh riyals.
