The Tabuk Municipality and its branch affiliates fined 238 businesses during inspections last week. During the week, the Tabuk Municipality and its authorities inspected a total of 1746 establishments. Warning notices were also issued to 423 establishments for violations during inspections of restaurants, hotels, barber shops, buffets, fast food restaurants, shopping malls, central markets, entertainment centers and tourist centers.
A few institutions were shut down for serious violations. 300 kg of unusable food items were seized and destroyed during the inspections. Last week, the Tabuk Municipality cleared more than 7,000 tons of waste and disinfected more than 1,200 sites. The Tabuk Municipality has asked Saudi nationals and foreigners to immediately report any businesses that do not comply with health and municipal regulations by calling 940 or through the municipality's website or app.
The Eastern Provincial Municipality on Thursday found 48 violations during inspections. A total of 883 establishments were inspected by Eastern Province municipal officials on Thursday. Meanwhile, 39 violations related to non-compliance with precautionary measures against corona spread and nine violations related to overcrowding were found. 1003 places in Dammam were disinfected with 1,53,261 liters of disinfectant. The municipality said 7538 tonnes of waste and 3728 cubic meters of building debris were removed.
