Riyadh: Those who risked their lives to cross the valleys between the floods and the floods will now be fined. The ministry has acknowledged that crossing the valleys at the risk of one's life in the midst of floods and mudslides is a violation of traffic laws. It is listed as number seven offenses under the Traffic Act. Such violations carry a fine of five thousand riyals to ten thousand riyals.

Crossing valleys adventurously between mountain floods and floods has never been a traffic violation. Therefore, no disciplinary action was taken against those who showed such adventures. Many people have lost their lives in the floods to cross the valleys between the mountain floods and the floods. Civil Defense and locals are rescuing those trapped in vehicles in the floodplains in the valleys. It is hoped that the inclusion of the Ministry in the Transport Act as a violation of the law, which carries a fine of five thousand riyals to ten thousand riyals, will help prevent such adventures to a large extent.

There has been a strong demand from various quarters in recent times to declare crossing the valleys as a violation of the law and take punitive action against the violators. The cabinet also decided to issue number plates with unique stamps for a fee. The traffic law has been amended accordingly. The one-time fee for such a number plate is 800 riyals. The amendments to the traffic law were approved at a weekly cabinet meeting chaired by Salman Raja, a servant of the shrines.

The ministry said Saudi Arabia wanted to achieve peace and stability in the region. Saudi Arabia supports political solutions in Yemen, Syria and Libya.
A lasting and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian conflict must be found in line with UN resolutions and the Arab peace plan. Palestinians and Israelis must resume talks to bring peace to the region.

The ministry said Saudi Arabia condemned the Houthis' continued violation of the Stockholm peace agreement and its continued use of ballistic missiles, drones and remote-controlled boats loaded with explosives as a base for al-Hudaydah. Such Houthi attacks pose a threat to regional and global security and undermine efforts to find a political solution to the Yemeni conflict. The cabinet also decided to continue providing overtime benefits to non-permanent employees serving in government hospitals, health centers and labs.

Earlier, the list of five offenses under the Traffic Act No. 7 included driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, carrying out construction work on the roads before coordinating with the concerned departments, allowing cattle to cross the roads through non-designated areas, using fake number plates and erasing chassis number plates. Among the new additions is the adventurous crossing of valleys at the risk of their lives between floods and mudslides. These six offenses are punishable by a fine of five thousand riyals to ten thousand riyals.
