New carts were installed for the supply of zamzam water in the Holy Haram. Sheikh Dr. Head of Haram Affairs Department. Abdurrahman Alsudais inaugurated the carts. Under Secretary, Department of Haram Affairs, Dr. Saad Al Muhaimid was present at the ceremony.
The carts are made of stainless steel and have two jars with a capacity of 80 liters each. One of the jars contains chilled samsa water and the other contains uncooled water. The carts also have electronic pumps to deliver samsam water in jars. Carts are regularly disinfected as a precautionary measure.
The carts are unique in that they can be easily removed from the harem and courtyards to deliver samsa water to visitors and believers in compliance with safety and health standards, as a precautionary and preventive measure. The new carts are being distributed as part of the Department of Haram Affairs' preparations to receive pilgrims and believers during the holy month of Ramadan.
