The Ministry of Culture said last year that 66 lakh movie tickets were sold in Saudi Arabia, despite measures taken to combat the spread of the corona epidemic and reduce the number of spectators in theaters. In 2019, 40 lakh movie tickets were sold in the country. Riyadh had the highest number of movie tickets sold in 2020. 34 lakh tickets were sold in the capital. Jeddah, in second place, sold 21 lakh tickets, followed by Dammam with 5,43,000, Dahran with 186,000, Hufuf with 130,000 and movie tickets last year.
