In Saudi Arabia, the leave of health workers has been postponed

The Ministry of Health has decided to extend the leave of health workers working in the Corona war zone. The leave of those serving in hospitals, health centers, vaccine centers and supervisory departments under the Ministry of Health has been extended until further notice. The circular was issued by Abdurrahman Alu Aliban, Under Secretary, Ministry of Health for Human Resources.

The provincial health department heads and health cluster CEOs are empowered to allow employees up to a maximum of five days off in unavoidable circumstances, regardless of employment interests and not affecting the services provided to customers. Eid leave will be granted to other employees. Eid holidays will begin on Thursday, the 24th of Ramadan, after the end of duty, according to the Umm al-Qura calendar, for Saudi office workers under the Ministry of Health. They will resume duty on Tuesday, Shawwal 6, after the Eid holiday. For foreign employees, the Eid leave will begin after the end of duty on Tuesday, the 29th of Ramadan, and resume after the holiday on Sunday, the 4th of Shawwal.

A fixed proportion of employees should be assigned to work during the festive holidays. Priority should be given to those working in the medical departments in assigning duty during the festive holidays. The circular also said that they will be compensated as per the law.
