
Mecca - Saudi Arabia's Adahi project has announced that 50,110 sheep have been slaughtered for this year's Hajj. Sacrifice was performed in a timely manner as prescribed by the Shariah, in compliance with all precautionary measures and health conditions. Apart from Hajj pilgrims, applications have been received from all over the world through the 'Adahi' website for the distribution of sacrificial meat on the days of Hajj.
A portion of the sacrificial meat was distributed among the poor in the Haram range during the festive days. Bandar Hazar said. The sacrificial meat was distributed in collaboration with voluntary organizations in Makkah. Adahi is the world's largest similar project, founded in 1983. From the beginning, the Islamic Development Bank has been in charge of the project. The non-profit project is receiving generous support from Saudi Arabia.
'Adahi' performs the rituals of Hadith, Fidyah, Sadaqah, Uduhiyat and Aqeedah on behalf of the Hajj pilgrims and those desired by the Muslims of the world. Last year, more than one million sheep were slaughtered by Adahi and the meat was distributed among the poorest Muslims in Makkah, Saudi Arabia and other parts of the world.
