EXPATRIATES STRANDED AT HOME; SAUDI ARABIA EXTENDS IQAMA AND RE-ENTRY PERIODS

The iqama period for those whose re-entry period ends between September 1 and 30 has been extended. The measures were taken on the instructions of King Salman, the ruler of Saudi Arabia. The Ministry of Human Resources and the National Information Center are completing the process of extending the iqama period.

The re-entry visa and exit visa period for those stranded in Saudi Arabia has been extended. The re-entry of the natives was also extended till September 30th. The information about this was given by the Javasat section. At the same time, no final decision has been made on whether to start air service. At present, only natives are allowed to return to Saudi Arabia by hand. Special flights are also available to bring back Saudi nationals, relatives and dependents stranded abroad. The rest of the flights are expected to be announced soon. Meanwhile, the annual global investment conference in Saudi Arabia has changed the current situation. The meeting, scheduled for October 28-29, has been postponed to January 26-28. The action is in the Kovid situation.
