The fraud plant was found inside a building in Riyadh the previous day. The usual method is to fill the bottle with the zamzam sticker. Then it will be taken to the roadside and sold. The plant was run by foreigners. They were arrested and handed over to the police. Bottles were also seized.

The water collected directly from the zamzam well is supplied through a plant in Makkah. zamzam water can be taken by anyone in Makkah and Madinah as required. zamzam water costs only five riyals, which is five liters of water from Makkah to remote areas.
