A separate application must be made to change the old iqama number on the license

 The Saudi Traffic Directorate has clarified that foreigners must submit a separate application to change the iqama number on their driving license. The Saudi Traffic Directorate said foreigners arriving in Saudi Arabia on a new work visa would need to approach the traffic department at the driving school to change the iqama number on their old Saudi driving license and submit a separate application for a driver 's license with a new iqama number. The Saudi Traffic Directorate said this in response to an inquiry by one of the foreigners as to what should be done to change the driving license, which was registered under the old iqama number, to the new iqama name.
