Raises age for domestic Umrah pilgrimage; 18 to 70 people can participate


 

 The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced that it has exempted a number of elderly people from the Umrah ban imposed in the covid. With this, people up to the age of 70 can perform the Umrah pilgrimage from Saudi Arabia. However, those under the age of 18 are still not allowed. At present, pilgrims between the ages of eighteen and seventy can perform Umrah.

   The current arrangement allows for the issuance of an Umrah permit every fortnight. Pilgrimage can be repeated after the permit expires after performing Umrah. Those who cancel their previous permits will be allowed to perform Umrah as soon as possible. Permits are currently issued to perform Umrah until Sha'ban 18 (end of March). Umrah permit holders are not required to avail the transport service. The message that bookings are currently not possible does not mean that the 'Itamarna' app will not be able to book all day and that bookings will be possible in a matter of minutes.

   More than two million people are using the 'Ithamarna' app. The overcrowding of users has sometimes made bookings difficult,
