Iqama can be renewed even after the expiration of the passport of the dependents

The expats need not worry; Iqama can be renewed even after the expiration of the passport of the dependents

The Javasat Directorate has made it clear that even if the passport of one of the dependents expires, there will be no impediment to the renewal of the Iqama of the head of the family.

Javasat was responding to a query from one of the foreigners who said that his passport was expired and that his wife's passport had expired and he could not renew his passport due to the current circumstances.

The expiration of the passport of one of the dependents does not preclude the renewal of the Iqama of the head of the family. Iqama can be renewed even if the head of the family is within Saudi Arabia and any of the dependents is abroad. Re-entry of expatriates can be extended online. Javasat said the re-entry can be extended online through the account on the employer's Abshir or Muqeem platforms, which paid the fee through the Saddad service.
