Name and educational qualifications can be corrected, new services in Abshir

 

The Home Ministry has added a few new services to its online service portal 'Abshir Individuals'. Five services of the Department of Civil Affairs have been newly added to 'Abshir'. Abshir's five new services are: Application for Amendment of Educational Qualification, Application for Correction of English Name, Application for Amendment of Social Status, Application for Linking of Civil Registers of Children and Mother, and Updated Improvement Service.


The Home Ministry has also launched a revamped gesture (ashir) service for the deaf. The updated gesture service provides employees and users in the service centers of the Civil Affairs Offices with the opportunity to communicate with the Sign Language Translator at the Unified Video Call Center through QR Code technology.


The Interior Ministry said it had launched a service to register the births and deaths of Saudi nationals and foreigners living in Saudi Arabia through Saudi embassies abroad. The new service, which will be completed through an electronic link between the Ministries of Home Affairs and Foreign Affairs, will facilitate the registration of deaths and births abroad through Saudi embassies. The Home Ministry has released the second version of the 'Maidan' platform with the Department of Security.
