Saudi-made satellites will be launched today

Prince Sultan bin Salman, chairman of the Saudi Space Commission's board of directors, said two Saudi-made satellites would be launched this morning. The satellites Shaheen Sat and Cube Sat were built by Saudi scientists. Prince Sultan bin Salman said that one of the satellites for scientific purposes was developed by scientists at the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology and the other at King Saud University.
King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology said it would launch its 17th satellite from Kazakhstan this morning. King Saud University has built a cube-shaped satellite that is 10 cm long, wide and high, and weighs one kilogram. King Saud University is the first Saudi university to launch a cube-shaped satellite. King Saud University has a ground station that can communicate with small and large satellites and the International Space Station.
