Hajj pilgrims should be vaccinated before Hajj

Those wishing to perform the Hajj this year from within Saudi Arabia must receive two doses of the vaccine before the Dulhaj. The health conditions for this year's Hajj were prepared by the National Transformation Program. Before Dulhaj, 60 per cent of the targeted population in Makkah and Madinah will be vaccinated. High risk groups will not be allowed to perform Hajj this time. Hajj is permitted only for those between the ages of eighteen and sixty.

All employees and staff serving during the Hajj must have received two doses of the vaccine at least one week before the start of the Hajj-related service. All domestic pilgrims must have received two doses of the vaccine before Dul Hajj. Hajj pilgrims arriving from abroad must receive a vaccine approved by the World Health Organization. Foreign pilgrims must receive a second dose of the vaccine at least one week before entering Saudi Arabia.
