Saudiization has again increased in the areas of maintenance and operations. Effective from today. Ahmed al-Rajhi, the Minister of Human Resource Development and Social Development, has announced that the decision to extend further Saudiisation to companies operating in the maintenance and operations sectors under the Saudi-funded Nitaqat project will take effect from today. The Saudiization ratio has been increased by three per cent, depending on the size of the institution and the category of Nitakhat.
The new decision is aimed at encouraging companies in the maintenance and operations sector to pursue more Saudiisation. From today, the Saudiisation ratio applicable to maintenance and operations companies will be increased by three per cent, in line with the regular review of the Saudiization ratio applicable to companies operating in each region under the Nitaqat and the earlier announced implementation of Saudiisation in establishments operating in the maintenance and operations sector.
The Ministry of Manpower and Social Development aims to increase the Saudiization ratio applicable to the maintenance and operations sector to provide attractive and sustainable employment opportunities to the natives.
