The Ministry of Commerce has warned consumers against the Chinese online store. Earlier, the website of the store was blocked by the Ministry of Commerce in collaboration with the concerned departments. However, an investigation by the Ministry of Commerce found that the online store continues to deceive consumers in Saudi Arabia through other websites and links. The ministry then blocked all these sites and links.
The ministry also found links to 184 online stores with different names. Unreliable foreign online stores are targeting Saudi users through social media platforms. These companies, which market low quality products, deceive consumers by announcing fake offers. Institutions do not offer the opportunity to return or replace products. And does not provide after-sales service.
These companies deceive consumers about the quality of their products by advertising fake photos. The Commerce Ministry said it had blocked the websites and links of such institutions in collaboration with the concerned departments.
Lack of information about the company, address and phone numbers, facilitating communication with customers via e-mail only, strong advertising on social media, use of Arabic language and Saudi Riyals, design of sites similar to popular online stores, products and real products displayed on the site, etc. The Ministry of Commerce said that displaying the same products for sale at very low prices in online stores, fake reviews of products, fake offers and on-delivery payment system are common signs of blocked online stores.
