The health insurance scheme for foreigners traveling to Saudi Arabia has come into effect from January 1.

The health insurance scheme for foreigners traveling to Saudi Arabia has come into effect from January1.
The Hajj Umrah Ministry and Tawunia Insurance Company are working with the project. Each passport holder has to pay 189 months insurance policy. Currently, it costs around Rs 13,000 to stamp a Umrah Visa. In addition, each passport requires an amount of RR 189 for insurance.
This will enable the pilgrim to get compensation of Rs. 1 lakh including emergency treatment. The Haj Umrah Minister signed an agreement with Tawunia Insurance Company on December 11. Insurance coverage is available for 30 days. The benefit of the project is that the pilgrims are from Saudi until they leave the country.
Insurance covers the cost of transporting and treating hospitals in the event of various health problems, accidents, or disasters, as well as compensation for travel delays, cancellations, long-haul flights at airports, and inconvenience caused during travel. If the Pilgrim dies, the plan is to compensate for the repatriation of the dead body to the tune of 10,000 rials.
