IN SAUDI ARABIA, THE CABINET APPROVED A LAW REQUIRING THE HEALTHCARE OWNER TO BE A RESIDENT OF SAUDI ARABIA

In Saudi Arabia, the Cabinet has approved legislation that should be in charge of clinics and dispensaries. The new requirement is that the owner of the firm be a resident doctor or a full-time employee of the institution.

The new law was approved by a cabinet meeting chaired by King Salman at Al Yamama Palace. The Shura Council meeting, which was held on December 9, 2019, gave preliminary approval to the law. Communication Minister Turkey al-Shabana said the cabinet had approved the draft bill submitted by Health Minister Dr Taufeeq al-Rabi'a.

The legislation was approved by the Cabinet with effect from January 6, 2003, by amending the existing Code of Healthcare in the country. Paragraph 2 of the Code is amended by paragraph two. The health center's owner is a doctor, resident, health center, specialist doctor with specialization degree, supervision of health center and full-time employee.
