 Riyadh: The Saudi Ministry of Commerce has asked consumers to pay only the written price on the outside of the goods and not to pay extra.

The Ministry of Commerce has specially reminded consumers that they do not have to pay more in VAT and the price quoted on goods is VAT inclusive.

The ministry has also called for a report on companies charging more in the form of VAT in addition to the above-mentioned ban on products when they pay for goods purchased from shops.

Those concerned are advised to contact the Zakat and Income Authority or call 19993 if they find any such violations.

Authorities have also called on the Ministry of Commerce to notify consumers if they charge more than what is written on the product. Complaints can be made through the Ministry's website or app or by calling 1900
