The launch of two Saudi-designed satellites has been postponed. Earlier it was reported that it would be launched from Kazakhstan on Saturday morning. But in the end, it was postponed. The launch was planned using the Russian rocket Soyuz 2.1a. The new date will be announced later. The Soyuz rocket today planned to launch 38 satellites from 18 countries from the launch launch in Kazakhstan.

The satellites are Shaheen Sat and Cube Sat, built by Saudi scientists. One of the satellites for scientific purposes was developed by scientists at the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology and the other at King Saud University.

King Saud University has built a cube-shaped satellite about ten centimeters long, wide and high, weighing one kilogram. King Saud University is the first Saudi university to launch a cube-shaped satellite. King Saud University has a ground station that can communicate with small and large satellites and the International Space Station.

Prince Sultan bin Salman, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Space Commission, commended King Saud University for undertaking these scientific missions aimed at developing areas related to the aerospace industry and hoped that the country would make great strides and achievements in this area. He added that the country deserves to remain at the forefront in all matters, including space operations.
